The Downtown Cultural Arts Center is a multi-purpose neighborhood center located at 401 N. Howard Street in the building that formerly housed the Liberty Federal Savings Bank. It is located in a prime cultural arts district designated by the City of Baltimore, and is easily accessible by any form of transportation. As a 501 (c)3 not-for-profit organization, our mission is to provide opportunities for art and cultural development in Maryland, with a special focus on Baltimore City. Our goal is manifested through the delivery of a wide range of art, cultural and educational programming designed for all age groups, including workshops, classes, exhibitions, plays, performing arts, dance, visual/digital/media instructional programs, workforce development, and summer/after-school programs. We foster the notion of collaboration between the Center, and other organizations that promote the cultivation of the arts, such as local schools, museums, art galleries, local artists, businesses, colleges and universities, and City government. Because we provide much needed services for the local community, our programs are dependent on donations, charitable contributions, volunteers, and a strong Board of Directors in order to continue service delivery from the highest standard of quality.
